Neurology Expanding Services in Texas
Cook Children's Jane and John Justin Neurosciences Center continues to expand our faculty and services in an effort to provide the highest quality, convenient care to children in our region. We recognize the difficulties many families face when traveling long distances to reach providers at our main campus in Fort Worth. For many years we have provided neurology services at locations across Texas, including Tyler, Denton, Mansfield, Amarillo, San Angelo and Waco. In addition to coordinating in-person clinics multiple times per month, we offer virtual health services at most locations to increase access to our experts.
Our center will soon open a full-time neurology outpatient clinic at our new campus in Prosper, Texas. Damian Campbell, D.O., will accept referrals for general pediatric neurology starting August 2020, and then be joined by Brittney Pryor Craig, M.D., in October.
Dr. Campbell completed his training at The University of North Texas Health Science Center prior to completing his child neurology residency at Dell Children's in Austin. Dr. Pryor Craig completed her training at Vanderbilt University prior to completing a child neurology residency and sleep medicine fellowship at UT Southwestern Dallas.
In addition to general neurology, Cook Children's will offer access to our full collection of subspecialty services, including epilepsy and movement disorders at this Prosper location. Our outpatient neurophysiology laboratory will open August 2020 to provide easy access to outpatient electroencephalograms (EEG) and is available for scheduling by calling 682-303-4200.
Building on our longstanding commitment to children in West Texas, Cook Children's Neurosciences Center will welcome Rolla Shbarou, M.D., in January 2021 to provide full-time general neurology services at our Amarillo location. She completed her training at the American University of Beirut before completing child neurology training at Duke University and epilepsy training at Arkansas Children's. She remained as child neurology faculty at Arkansas Children's for 10 years before returning to American University of Beirut as assistant professor of pediatric neurology. In addition to this expanded child neurology access, Cook Children's will continue to provide monthly in-person access to subspecialty services for epilepsy and movement disorders. You may refer patients to our Amarillo location by calling 682-885-2500.
